Eurofleets+ Floating University is offering early stage researchers a possibility to attend the course “Multiple platforms to measure the ocean” on board the Italian research vessel G. Dallaporta from 17 to 23 September 2022.
The general objective of the course is to provide theoretical background and practical experience in conducting instrumental measurements of seawater physical and chemical properties, using CTD probes, Niskin bottles for water samples collection, salinometers, and, depending on weather conditions, moored instruments that will be deployed near the coast as a test to learn the setup of instruments such as Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs) and Microcat probes.
