A master or PhD student has the chance to be nominated for participation in an Arctic cruise with the Norwegian research vessel Kronprins Haakon in August 2023. Application deadline is 20 April 2023.
Danish Center for Marine Research (Dansk Center for Havforskning, DCH) has been offered a chance to nominate a master or PhD student to participate on an Arctic cruise with the Norwegian icebreaker RV Kronprins Haakon from 10 to 29 August 2023.
Participants will participate in data acquisition related to physical and biological oceanography, pelagic ecosystems, microplastics and contaminants and could use the data in their own research. Participants will also later be invited to conferences and seminars to share their experience, with all expenses covered.
The cruise will start and end in Longyearbyen, Svalbard and sail into the Nansen Basin. All travel expenses will be covered by the Norwegian Polar Institute.
To apply for a berth please send your application to DCH secretariat on dch-secretariat@aqua.dtu.dk no later the 20 April 2023. The application should include a motivation letter (max 1 page) and a 1 page CV including a reference which DCH can contact. Applicants will be reviewed by the board of DCH, and answers will be provided on 30 April 2023.
